Session Objective: To help participants understand how to: Merit Gest, is Vice President of Total Selling Solutions, Inc., a Northbrook, Illinois based authorized licensee of the Sandler Sales Institute, a national sales training organization.  . Total Selling Solutions, Inc specializes in business development strategies, sales productivity training and executive coaching. TSS’s client base is composed of corporations, small businesses and traditional sales professionals, as well as non-selling professionals, who desire to build their practice or enhance their skills.  Merit brings years of study and real world experience to her clients.  Among her many accomplishments are being the youngest General Sales Manager in the Chicago radio market and backpacking around the world for one full year on her own.   Merit’s extensive leadership training included focusing on behaviors, attitudes and techniques to elicit the best in others so they can overcome self-limiting beliefs and achieve their professional and personal goals.  Total Selling Solutions, Inc. understands that “winners, whether they be companies or individuals, understand that selling skills need to be developed and reinforced.  Going to a once or twice a year seminar does not have a long lasting impact on developing sales.  Many now realize that a regular workshop format stressing strong, proven selling skills is the best way to develop customers.” Associations and professional organizations across the country have benefited from Merit’s personal blend of humor, storytelling, coaching and interactive participatory talks and training workshops.  Merit Gest is a dynamic woman who has a knack for finding the lessons in life’s most unusual situations.  From walking on hot coals to bungee jumping, from the chicken pox in Moscow to breaking a foot in Israel… Merit’s coaching from real life experiences allows people to discover their own lessons in the most unexpected places.  She is currently completing a book based on the lessons learned in unexpected ways.

“Keeping the Energy and Motivation Flowing -
Turning Ingenious Thoughts and Ideas into Actions.”

by Frank Mallinder & Lynne Murray
(Nightingale-Conant)

After attending a training session, listening to a powerful motivational tape series or reading a good book by an inspiring author, your adrenaline begins to rush and you may feel heightened energy and compelled to take some bold action steps in your life.  Hours later, that excitement may have dwindled as your energy is now focused on dealing with the day-to-day necessities of life and work.  Participants in this session will learn how to harness the energy developed in those moments of euphoria, how to maintain motivation and how to turn those ingenious thoughts and ideas into actions.

This is a unique opportunity for MFN members to preview Nightingale-Conant's personal development programs.  Nightingale-Conant is thrilled to be able to present to MFN members, one of the most powerful, effective, and quickest means for life transformation - one-on-one personal coaching.  In Fortune Magazine's February 2000 article on Coaching, one client says about her year of coaching:

"…it was like a grenade in my life that's still going off…Coaches can help people come to grips with huge changes in the way we do work, … in getting through big transitions."
Nightingale-Conant has become a leader in the coaching community, because unlike other programs in existence, N-C has coaches who have been personally instructed and mentored by outstanding authors such as Brian Tracy, Jay Abraham, Sonia Choquette and Bob Proctor.

Frank Mallinder has over 20 years of experience in management development and consulting.  He is a certified instructor in seventeen of the leading management development training programs.  Creating a climate in the classroom that is conducive to learning is one of his key strengths.   Plus he has designed and delivered programs on sales, sales presentation strategy, strategic planning and personal development.  Insightful coach, skilled facilitator, and inspirational leader are three descriptions that apply to Frank.  He has a broad background that includes training and consulting with large multi-national companies as well as small privately held companies.  He has both domestic and international experience.  As a skilled coach, he has assisted individuals to achieve high levels of success on both a professional and personal level. His coaching clients are able to make better decisions, take more and smarter actions, establish better relationships with everyone they come in contact with and have a balanced life.  His coaching clients include executives and mid-managers as well as entrepreneurs.  He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington & Jefferson College.  He has received extensive training in the behavioral sciences and industrial psychology including graduate courses at Illinois Benedictine University.  He has self-published a book on personal growth. In addition to all he has learned in the corporate arena about coaching, he has studied coaching at Coach U.  Frank is founder and president of THE LEARNING INSTITUTE, a company dedicated to consulting with organizations that view life-long learning as one of the keys to economic success.

Lynne Murray works with individual companies and organizations to assist them in removing the obstacles that interfere with their profitability, productivity and success.  She is an innovative business woman who has owned her own business for twenty-three years and has successfully created original personal development presentations to national and international audiences on topics as diverse as sales, communication, customer service, stress and time management, coaching, behavioral styles and relationships.  Lynne uses a variety of learning techniques such as clowning, humor and personal assessments. She is certified in Performax DISC and Wilson Learning’s' Social Styles and the INGenius which she uses extensively. She has been trained at Coach University, and teaches classes at her alma mater. She is known throughout the Coaching community for creating innovative programs for new coaches. as well as being nicknamed the “Coaches Coach.”  Over and above her formal education, Lynne has learned and integrated from life itself. She sees each person and organization for their own uniqueness and is able to meet them where they are and take them where they want to be.  Lynne is a partner with a very exciting company called SUCCESSINTERVENTION, an Internet community for Coaches, Trainers and Seminar Leaders. Their website (under construction as we speak) will be "the place" for organizations and individuals to find coaches, seminars, workshops and presentations.  For coaches and leaders who are tired of the "same old place" and feel that their clients deserve something more and someplace special, SUCCESSINTERVENTION offers opportunities to conduct workshops and seminars in extraordinary villas in sunny Mexico!   For more information visit: http://www.successintervention.com.
